Yes, I believe so. If you release an egg and it gets fertilized that's all it takes. The only way you'd get your period and not be fertile is to have an anovulatory cycle. You may have a wonky cycle for a while due to the shot but you should use protection from the get go for peace of mind (unless of course you want a baby!)

I was on the depo shot for 2 years. Me and hubby decided to start a family. It took about 6 months after my last shot to get my menstrual again. It took 1 year 7 months after that last shot to get pregnant.

Yes, depending on how long you were on the shot however, it could take you a long time to get pregnant. Up to a year in some cases.

my doctor told me that it could take a while after getting off the depo to get pregnant.

yes it IS possible, even if unlikely....don't believe me..ask your doctor..I got pregnant the last month my depo was suppose to be working...no kidding..I was thankful the baby was fine

i got preg 2 days before my regular cycle and was always ontime.
now how did that happen? ovulation can happen anytime.
best to be safer than too sorry!!!
