Federal Law only allows them to have one but if it wasn't against the Law they would have many. Their prophet Brigham Young had 52 wives.

I think they use the same passages in the old testament that muslims use to justify polygamy. Religiously...they can have as many as they can 'maintain' and treat fairly. Legally....they can only have one of course!

by US law, none, or maybe one on occasion. Since they all make up their own religion anyway, they say they're allowed as many as they can get.
