Starcraft is a must have for any RTS fan. Not only does it have a great story for single play, it is also considered one of the best if not the best RTS multiplayer game of all times. There is still a split to this day whether Starcraft or Warcraft is the ultimate test of a player's ability. It has a very large following especially in the east where the best Starcraft players have become massive celebrities and earn big money not only in winnings but also in advertising revenue and sponsorships.
You can also look to buy a multipack with the expansion Starcraft: Broodwars which offers new units and a series of challenges.
If you are into multiplayer up to 8 players can join on a network or join battlenet, starcraft's own multiplayer realm like the one from Warcaft.
Blizzard has also made a FPS/Strategy game called Ghost, which came out on console, and puts you in the shoes of a ghost, one of the most versatile units in Starcraft.
If you liked the games you mentioned you must certainly get this game. The graphics will be a letdown after warcraft but the video clips are amazing and you cannot go wrong if you get this classic Blizzard game.

Starcraft which came directly after Warcraft was Blizzard North(?)'s answer to the sci-fi genre RTS game.
If you are a fan of Warcraft and have played Command and Conquer along with other RTS's you will be happy to find the Starcraft and it's expansions are quite fun.
There is even talk of Blizzard working on a MMO for Starcraft which should define quick a numbr of hack n slash MMO's and put Sci-Fi MMO back onto the gamers market. How they will accomplish this is another story/question though.

If you loved warcraft, you may like starcraft. However, many Elements of warcraft are not there. But Starcraft is good with different units, three races and a great storyline. So all in all, I reccomend you to buy starcraft.

Lets put it this way:
The races at Starcrart are Humans, Protos and Zergs. If you have played Warcraft III you will find that Zergs are very similar to the undeads. However I consider that Starcraft is as good as Warcraft II because you don have such an ugly thing like the heros.
This game is old but is very good.
Go 4 it.

If you like ages of empire, I strongly suspect that you will find Starcraft to be your cup of tea. Keep an eye out for the add on pack for it called Brood War, unlike most add ons its as good as the original game.
