If you mean in the Christian sense, to be "born again" means to engage in a suspension of reason, to accept a series of ancient myths as an explaination for our presence and purpose. It is a quick road to unthinking obedience to a system of thought which discourages independent thought altogether and a brand new imaginary friend.

Born again means that even though you were physically born of flesh, through your faith in the DIETY of Jesus Christ, you receive a new life (reborn/birth) by symbolically cleansing the flesh and spiritually renewing your spirit that has been cursed through birth due to your lineage of Adam and Eve by water and coming up reborn(or believing your way into) symbolically a new person that turns from following mere gut reactions to life and now desiring to live the life your new spiritual father had originally planned before Adam (which also means Eve because Adam means mankind) sinned against God. All this is now possible by the leading of, impowerment of and communion of the Holy Spirit of God. So in short...born again means to walk with God totally without the giving into of the desires of the flesh which is totally impossible without the communion of the Holy Spirit of God made possible through your faith that Jesus is the Provided sinless Son of God who was the fruit of God that hung from a chosen tree given in exchange for the sin committed by Adam when he consumed fruit that hung from a forbidden one.

Having been a Republican, the party of Ted Haggard, all your life you look back on the Bush years and figure out you are a total phuc-up and for sure you are going to burn in Hell. So you become born again as a Democrat, the party of Jesus, for the rest of your life.

To be born again means just what it says to be born again.. the evil spirit in you dies and is replaced by a good spirit or in other words you no longer have a disposition to do evil but to good continually.. to render to every man that which is due to be defrauded but not defraud to be reviled but not revile back.. it doesn't mean you become perfect overnight but it does mean from here on out you will try to be. It is a covenant which you enter into with the father of your spirit. you covenant to keep his commandments he covenants to pour his spirit out upon you.. you will still at times fall for you are learning but the difference is now when you faulter you will discern that which is evil for the carnal man has died and only a spirtual man exists now.

when you're talking about virginity....it usually means that a born again virgin has had sex before and regrets it. That being born again means they will wait for marriage this second time around.
