Oh TOTALLY normal. I started my tiredness around the same time as you. I would stay awake for about 2-3 hours, then have to lie down and sleep for a while every day (luckily I didn't have to work at the time...I don't know how others do it!).
Thankfully, though, there's light at the end of the sleepy tunnel. When I reached my second trimester, the sleepiness went away (but the headaches began, unfortunately). Once I was at the end of my second trimester, though, I really started loving my pregnancy because I was happily plump with no other "side effects."
Get those ZZZzzz's whenever you can, darlin'. You have every right to use your pregnancy as an "excuse" to nap often.
I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!! Congrats!!!!!

Girl I feel you. My son gets up between 8 and 9. I get up with him and give him breakfast. I attempt to get thru the morning without feeling too sick and then at 12 or 12:30 I give my son lunch. Between 1 and 1:30 he and I go down for a nap. Without that nap I feel like I am dragging bottom all day long. I can't seem to function properly and I am so so grumpy. I only let us sleep until 3:30 though....any later than that and bedtime is too late. He goes to bed between 9:30 and 10:30. If he naps longer than 3:30 he won't go to bed well. It is what works for us. And I have been feeling tired and worn like this since around 4 or 5 weeks ad it is still going and I am 10 weeks now. I have been told that the second trimester ( which starts around 13 weeks) is a whole lot easier. Good Luck and if you ever want to talk drop me an email.

I was exhausted all day every day until I was about 18 weeks. The worst time though was early afternoon, but because I work full time I would just keep going (like a zombie) until I got home Then I was normally in bed by 8.30 and sleeping though until the absolute last minute before I had to get out of bed! And I still felt like I had been hit by a truck!

Yes - at 5 weeks pregnant I once just completely fell into a deep sleep at lunchtime. I only rested my head on the arm rest of the setee and within seconds I was out like a light! It does pass eventually - it is because the body is working hard producing your little one it needs ALL the energy it can get! The first few months are when your baby develops the most rapidly so it takes a lot out of you and its perfectly normal. Just nap when you need to and eat well and you'll be fine.

Its totally normal, obviously you dont work. Thats a good thing, because you get time to rest. I work 8:30-5:30 and when I get home I completely crash at like 7pm. But on the weekends I do nothing except lay down and watch TV. Im 16 weeks preg. So its supposed to stop soon and Im not seeing any differance. Good Luck

Try not to sleep in the day. Keep yourself busy. When night falls your body should be tired enough to give you a good sleep (atleast 8 hours) without any interruptions. When you're nearing your final stage of pregnancy, the baby is likely to kick each time he/she is in a uncomfortable position thus you will experience many broken sleeps. This is normal!

VERY NORMAL I have had 3 kids, and when i got tired was different with each one, but getting tired was a definate!.. It really dosent matter how far along you are, it can also be a sign to show you that you may be pregnant...the second trimester was usually better so hang on..no promises though...each time was totally different.

It's completely normal. By your second trimester you should feel a little surge of energy, but don't be surprised if you feel tired again in your last trimester. Rest all you can, you're growing a human being in there, for cryin' out loud!
