I told everyone a month ago I was making cookies for christmas, now yesterday my brother pops up and says he got our family a Wii off ebay and wants an extra big plate of cookies!

Any thoughts of something I can do extra special for him?

You're making a gift - that's alot more effort than simply buying one! I wouldn't worry about it mate, it's the thought that counts.

When you make cookies for him, why not spell out his name on them with choc chips or something? I'm sure he'll be appreciative of your efforts.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. Your family knows you and they know if your struggling financially or not and I'm sure they would rather you do something like make cookies instead of worry yourself to death or go in debt trying to outdo your brother. I say make a few batches of different types of cookies- the holidays are about being together and sharing your love and nothing says love more than some warm just made chocolate chip or sugar cookies for the holidays. Maybe make some apple cider or something else festive for the whole family to enjoy. "Remember Christ our Savior was born on Christmas day, to save us all from satans power when we were gone astray, O Tidings of Comfort and Joy." Happy Holidays.

I would get him a gift card. Not one with to much money just one with a little something that shows you care. And I know I'm young but it's the thought that counts.

I think you could get him a gift card to his favorite place or some sports tickets from your state, a basket with wine glasses, wine, cheese and sausage...
