Actually prior to becoming a sea captain he was a dentist for reptiles. His name was Dr. Morris Rabinowitz DDS. After he lost his hand, while doing some bridgework on a Croc, he retired to the sea with his insurance settlement money. And was know as Capt. Hook from that day on. Hope this helps.
