The spill happened about four months ago, but I never got around to cleaning out the stain. It is a white A-strap tank. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, unfortunately the shirt has been washed and dried already. Thus I fear the worst.

Since you can not get commercial grade soaps. Here is a good home remedy. Buy a small tub of oxy clean powder. Put a small amount in a cup with warn to hot water. Make a paste with it not too thick. Apply to stained area. Let it sit for at least an hour then wash in your next white load. Add 3 small scoops of oxy to the load with some reg soap. It should help depending how long it has been there. Here are a few home washing tips for those who read.

NEVER USE BLEACH it will weaken you fabric it may make them whiter but the fabric will become weaker. Use 3 or 4 scoops of oxy clean loads will come out whiter. Also use some ammonia it will help brake up your body oils. It will also help bacteria from forming in your clothes. Keep the bleach for cleaning the bathroom.

Good luck

Try this...i take the shirt and make a little "pigtail" of the area with the stain...with the stain. Like a ponytail with the stain at the end...that way you can treat ust that area.

Next i would maybe take a toothbrish and rub some stain remover on it and fill a cup with warm water and let it soak for an hour or so. Then i would take some bleah or the gelbleach pen and rub it in and let it soak again (not too long or you will get a hole!) and brush...ust keep briushing and soaking and it should eventually come out.

The clorox bleach pen is awesome!!

First, I have to ask if the top has already been washed and dried. If so, the stain is probably set.
If not, the best stain remover I've found is a general cleaning product called Greased Lightening. It does't harm clothes & works really well at removing hard to get out stains.
Spray the spot really well & let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then wash as normal.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

you are going to have to use water if you dont want to go buy something...otherwise, those Shout pens seem to work pretty well...or you can rinse it under cold water and rub a little bit of soap into it...but then maybe you'll have a water spot on your shirt...the best thing to do to make sure the stain comes out is to just put a little spray n wash or somethin on it and pop it in the wash real quick...hope this helps, good luck!

Bleach is probably your only option now since the stain has set.
