Not very realistic unless you have a solid plan to move there or he move to where you are your relationship will fail due to the the distance. Absence can make the heart grow fonder but too much distance for too long is not realistic in building a real relationship. I think you should continue building a frienship with him because you never know what the future brings but open yourself to meeting new people and he should as well. I know that may seem heartbreaking but life is too short to confine and limit yourself when there are infinite possibilities for happiness while you're subjecting yourself to a definite heartbreak. Life happens and it doesn't always make sense but everything happens for a reason and you are where you are because of destiny.
