I am going to be babysitting on Friday...it's not the first time (it's my two year old cousin), but I've never made my aunt and uncle pay me before. They want to pay me this time, as long as I set the rate. I'm not sure what it should be! I will be babysitting for about three or four hours.

check and see what your friends are paid for non-relatives, then take about 2.00 off of that - after all, they are family and you've done it for them before for free. I'd say around 5.00 an hour is reasonable (20.00 for the evening, all told).

It's your cousin! That's a tough one. Every time I babysat for my relatives they have paid me generously but I never had to set my own rate. If it's going to be for a few hours I would say around 8-10 an hour. That is a pretty fair price. If you feel that's too high to charge your aunt and uncle then ask for a couple dollars less. It may turn out that they will just pay you more anyways.

your cousin is only two years old so that pay is just a little higher you can either charge her by the hour or just ask for one set price how many days a week will u be babysitting

Depends on how much work u do, are they feeding you etc. I would at least ask for $4 an hour for the first time. What do your friends get paid?
