I've never been either. I have always dreamed of one day getting married to a wonderful "Prince Charming", who by design would not want or need anyone other than me to fulfill all of his deepest desires.
So I guess I would go with "wife"
I would love to cook his meals, wash his laundry, take care of the kids, and bring him a beer while he watches the game.....no, seriously, I would love that.

I've been both. It's definitely more fun and less stressful in the long run to be the wife. Being the mistress is fun for a while but at the end of the day, you have nothing, not even your dignity.

You play with a mistress and you have to be responsible with the wife. So the husband will have more fun with the mistress, but I don't know how the mistress will feel about it.

well for a maried man it would be fun to have both a wife and a mistress. YEa when the wife don't give you none just go to the mistress. AND with ehte mistress she is ready for anything and doesn't worry whether your coming home late or early and tired. But it would be fun to have both.

Depends, having both is the best of both worlds. They both offer different things that can both be exciting and satisfy equally. The wife gets stability, support and more of his time. But the mistress gets the fantasies, fun and the opportunity to really get to really get to know him good and bad because there are no true expectations or any judgments because she already knows the truth. I believe the man in his heart of hearts genuinely loves the wife and would choose only her if forced but has a mistress to satify any insecurity he has within himself and thus the relationship to create a balance within himself where he can feel contented and safe.

It all depends on the man and the woman. Sometimes the mistress gets treated better than the wife. And not all wives get the husband's money, they give it to the mistress alone with everything else.

think at first the mistress would be more fun to be with, making no demands, flattering his ego, but it may be a different story if the mistress becomes the wife, and than he has the same problem, and will soon be looking for fun somewhere else.

Is this a question that would of been asked 50 years ago? There will always be wives and always be mistresses. Make yourself happy. Right now, I am the mistresss, because my ex husband didn't want a wife or mistresss.

if you're asking about the fun. The mistress sounds like more fun kux you woulnd't have to go home to nayone and cook for them and put up with bad moods. But- the wife has more privaleges- you can take the car, take the money, take the kinds and the house if there is a break up. If you're a mistress and there's a break up - you take nothing!
