does anybody know if manga is really great in america as in japan. i know that some of the mangas i read are really big and popular and i was wondering if the manga artists here expect the same thing if they are popular. such as do they reel in the $$$ for the copies they publish and such

I am a big manga fan and I have not seen any mangas not drawn by Japanese artists. I also have many friends that like manga, but it may be because I live in a Asian-populated area. However, I think that if the artist is good enough, they'll still be able to earn money off of it.

Part of the problem is a lot of us who like the anime have no idea where to track down the manga

as far as your answer, no. that's if you are talking about if people publish their own work in the states. however, iam currently in japan and well... there are corner stores just for manga here.

i think manga is not that popular is America like in japan.

Welll, I LOVE manga and anime and usually spend all of my money on it. So to me, it is a uber pwnful muffin on the plate of life *cough*dinner*cough*
