Depends on the type of fish. Goldfish live 12 to 20 years, but in a fish bowl it's a shorter lifespan for the fish.

It depends on the fish. Betta's live 2 or 3 years, goldfish live 5 or more...and it also depends on whether or not you're talking about in captivity, or in the wild. The life expectancy of a minnow in a fish tank is greater than if it were in a pond with predators.

It depends on the type of fish. Most small fish would only last a few years or so, however certain fish such as sturgeons and carp can live for more than 100 years.

Depends on the type of fish and the way his habitat is looke after. It is also dependant on the fish itself, I had two goldfish live together for 14 years and got another that lived less then one.

It all depends on the circumstances. For instance fish living in Lake Ontario die when they are still young because of pollution, especially in the Western part of the lake.

It also depends on how well you take care of them. Example: gold fish can easily get up to a foot in length with the proper environment.

It depends on what type of fish, size of tank, disease, how experienced you are, companions in same tank, how well treated, what their diet is,and if you bought them when they were old. Fish can range from 0days-30 years! (30 years is the oldest ive heard a fish living till)
