If I am 6'2 and I'm grinding with my gf(5'2ish) how can I eliminate this height differential.

How should my head compare to her head, I've heard about her level just above her shoulder, is this right

Gee, aren't you preoccupied with grinding :-) I say, you might as well learn some real dancing, if you study this subject so carefully.

I think the head level is less important. What's more important is the relative leg length. You should bend your knees more than she bends hers so that your hips end up at some convenient level that works for you.

As long as you're both having fun and on beat, there is no problem with any height differential, when in doubt, have her dance with her back turned to you. This is acceptable when grinding and a common practice.
