What do crickets use their antennas for?

They use it to sense changes in temp, pick up sound vibrations from other crickets and to help find food. I have seen crickets with really short antennas that were breed for food. But if you find wild crickets their antennas are usually longer because they have to find and protect themselves and such.

They get great tv reception.sometimes they communicate telepathically with aliens.They reall use them for feeling around,and they sence smell through them also.

communicating they send pulses through their attnea and pick up other pulses its kinda like ears for us
and they send and pick up pulses through the ground
