A mixture is two or more materials mixed or stirred together.

A solution is a special mixture formed when a material dissolves in a liquid and cannot be filtered out.

All solutions are mixtures, but not all mixtures are solutions.

For example: both muddy water and Kool-Aid® are mixtures of solid and liquid (that's how they're prepared), but only Kool-Aid is a solution.

A solution is an example of mixture: though solutions generally appear more homogenous (sea water) than something that is more obviously a mixture (pepper and salt) In 'usual' terms a solution will involve a liquid with a solid dissolved into it (mixed into it: it has not changed chemically). But it might be a solution of one liquid in another (alcohol in water) or it can even (but less commonly) involve a solid 'dissolved' in another to make a solid solution.

A mixture is a combination of two compounds or elements. THere are 2 types :
Homogeneous where you cannot see the parts of the mixture like jello, saltwater, brass
Heterogeneous where you can see the parts of the mixture like salad, concrete
Solution is a mixture where one substance (solute) dissolves in another substance (solvent) like paint, saltwater, kool aid
All solutions are homogeneous mixtures but the revers is not true - all mixtures aren't solutions.
Solutions can also be solid like brass or gaseous like air.

I mixture is when you have two compounds that when combined together but don't react chemically, like sand and water.

A solution are when two compounds are combined and they do react chemically, like salt dissolving when mixed with water.
