The faster the better. If you have a slow internet connection you cause a lot of lag time for yourself and all the others you play with. If its too slow you'll never get anything loaded either. We have DSL and it works great.

The Xbox Live system checks your internet speed and if it is too slow or dial up then it wont let you create an account. I suggest any basic broadband but not some slow crappy kind

Now what do you think would happen during game play on XBOX Live with dial-up. Just tell me how fast do you think the game will be on a dial-up connection.
Of course you need a high speed connection.

i think even the lowest speed dsl could handle it, but am not sure

it wont work on dialup and you need fast internet or it freezes alot and you wont get to go where you want. It happened to me before.
