If babies aren't supposed to have strawberries until a year old, why do they make strawberry baby food?

The only foods I was told to avoid until my kids were over a year old were peanut butter and plain eggs. My pediatrician explained to me that most food allergies fall into these 2 categories. Custard baby food has eggs in them but only as an ingredient. When you start a baby on baby food, you should start with single ingredient foods to make sure there are no allergies. I know strawberry/banana baby food is a 2nd food, as long as your baby has had and is not allergic to bananas, if she were to get a rash, you would know it is the strawberries. You cannot know you are allergic to something until you have a reaction to it. Even after a year old, one of my daughters was allergic to eggs until I got the nerve to try them again at 2 years and now she is fine. I hope this helps.

I can't think of any strawberry baby food. Just because it is made it does not mean you have to give it to them.

that's kind of difficult isn't it? also, your not meant to furnish eggs until eventually they are one both, yet most of the 2d and third meals have eggs besides. i in my opinion have not given any of the strawberry meals yet, by way of the indisputable fact that is a huge allergin.
