We let x be the first integer.
Since all integers are said to be even and the 1st integer is assumed as even, we just add increments of 2 to the original number to get the next consecutive even integers
These numbers are represented as (x + 2), (x + 4) and (x + 6) respectively.
Adding all the numbers yields 108 so,
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) = 108
adding the terms we get,
4x + 12 = 108
solving for x gives us,
4x = 108 - 12
4x = 96
x = 96/4
x = 24
So the first integer is 24.
The next integers are then 26, 28 and 30.
Therefore the integers are,
24, 26, 28 and 30
notice that when you add these integers you get 108.
24 + 26 + 28 +30 = 108

x = first even integer
x + 2 = second consecutive integer
x + 4 = third consecutive integer
x + 6 = fourth consecutive integer
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) = 108
x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 108
4x + 12 = 108 (Subtract 12 from both sides
4x = 96 (Divide both sides by 4)
x = 24
The integers are 24, 26, 28, and 30

24 + 26 + 28 + 30 = 108

1. x+2
2. x+4
3. x+6
4. x+8
x+2 + x+4 + x+6 + x+8 = 108
First: combine like terms:
x+x+x+x+2+4+6+8 = 108
4x + 20 = 108
Second: subtracto 20 from both sides:
4x +20 - 20 = 108 - 20
4x = 88
Third: solve for "x" by keeping it on one side by itself: divide
everything by 4:
4x/4 = 88/4
x = 22
Last, take 22 and replace it with every "x" variable to find the even numbers:
1. x+2
= 22+2
= 24
2. x+4
= 22+4
= 26
3. x+6
= 22+6
= 28
4. x+8
= 22+8
= 30

For consecutive even integers, also for consecutive odd integers, write them increasing by 2's, as a few other people have shown you. Some people when they first see things like this they want to write the consecutive odd integers increasing by 3's, because 3 is odd, but that's not right. It depends on what you start with. You get consecutive odd integers if you start with an odd integer and increase by 2's, and you get consecutive even integers if you start with an even integer and increase by 2's. So here's what you do...
n + (n+2) + (n+4) + (n+6) = 108
4n + 12 = 108
4n = 96
n = 24
So your numbers would be 24, 26, 28, 30
