Oprah asked a question and got over 37000 answers, what do you think some of the reasons are for this?

People think that they are actually connecting with these famous people by answering their questions. Even if you do make a connection, it doesnt really matter.... They are just flesh and bones like you and me anyway.
This may seem too deep, but they are looking for God in a person.

It's because society has put the celebrities up on a soap box and so then everybody thinks that they are more important than a regular Joe. In all actuality all they are there for is to entertain, I think it is ridiculous that they receive more credit than someone who actually contributes to making the world a better place. They get so many answers because people think that they are the only thing that matters in life.

A lot of the featured questions get more answers, but of course, Oprah would get more answers because it's fun writing her thinking that she might actually see what we said. Wouldn't it be fun to be picked as "best answer" by Oprah? - it's worth a shot!

I ask a lot who people have met that was famous and I always get a lot of answers.
Good Question. I think it is just an interest in people we see lots of photos of and on TV and they seem so different when you see them in person and it leaves an impression.
I think the more people you see that are famous the less of the shock it is when you see someone in person.
The first time you see someone famous, I feel, what stands out the most is what you didn't expect. They were smaller than you thought, etc.

fame and everyone knowing you. its just popularity. everyone doesn't know me so i don't always get answers. leonardo asked a question too and he got tons of responses. people just care about the business and thoughts of the rich and famous, not complete strangers, even though they never met a celebrity in person, they are familiar with them. if you notice, the ones that say "official" are the ones that get high hits and sooo many posers that act like they are britney spears or someone else without "official" just want attention. i think that celebs interest people and they want people to read their answers or run into their own questions...because of the exposure and people's web browsing. also, because they think its like omg wow!
