Academically, I don't think so. I believe any Univ. of Calif. campus has a better academic reputation than USC.
You did say SCHOOL, not football team

Define best. Best at what? If you mean football, then you might be right historically, but this year they certainly were not the best. If you mean academically, then I they're probably like the second or third best school in Southern California (behind Cal Tech and, arguably, UCLA)... no where near the best in the state (behind Standford and Berkeley) and not even mentionable in the top 25 nationwide.

now are you talking athletics or academics because if your talking athletics then usc might be near the top but not the best school around and if your talking academics then yes, southern california is a prime school to go to a degree.
