i use steel wool and vinegar and watter. use 2Oz's vinegar to 6Oz's water

New wipers might be a great help, old ones might have ill pressure and dried up rubber.
Use special glass cleaner liquid instead of plain water in the wiper water tank.
In case of spots due to insects crushing on your windshield, clean them as soon as you spot them; otherwise it would dry and harm the surface of the shield in a waterspot manner

Try 000 steel wool and if that doesn't do it , it's not coming off as acid rain has etched itself into the windshield.

wash it again and dry it before it has chance to get water spots.

soap and warm water.are glass cleaner.that should cover do it.let it soak for a little.
