does it start to smell? Reason i ask, before I started to grooming which was two weeks ago, it did kind of smell a little weird becuase of all the hair surrounding it. Now that it is groomed (and I do bathe on a daily basis) it doesn't smell anymore. However, I heard that once it is groomed it will start to sweat and them smell. I haven't had a problem with his as of yet. I didn't shave the whole area. (guys and girls can respond).

Frankly speaking (and I kind of hate to tell you this) but guys (girls) develop their own odor around the pubes. It's natural and you can't eliminate it but you can control it with bathing, shaving, grooming or whatever you choose to do. Your body produces "pheromones" in your pubic region (similar to sweat but your sweat glands down there also secrete more of an oily substance as they are sebaceous sweat glands). When your pubic hair is there, the coarseness of the hair "traps" the odor. Since we are animals, you can parallel this "odor" as a sexual stimulant (which is what it was meant to biologically be) - much like a dog going in heat and all the neighborhood male dogs can "smell" her from how ever many blocks away and track her down. Even though we humans have hopefully evolved past that stage of courtship and mating, we have not lost the pheromone producing capabilities of our glands. While some may thing it's gross, there are those who actually like the "natural" smells of their partners; studies have actually been down to show that partners can identify their partners by smell alone when blindfolded. Basically that's a choice between you and your partner(s)

Nope. Just the other way around. The hairs trap the bacteria and odor. With the area being groomed, there's less chance for the bacteria and odor to form. Same for underarm hair.

Hair traps the odor so keeping it groomed will help alot. By the way its also much sexier!

Just keep the area clean by bathing regularly (daily), and there will be little or no smell from that area. Good luck.

Chow!!

Wait til it grows back and starts itching! Others have said it right, shouldnt smell after the trim, if it does, maybe see your doc about a possible std, if that is your situation.
