Contact yamaha service. But I think there was an easy fix. It was a 2 part boot, top and bottom halves that you glued togather. It did seem to work for a long time if you followed the directions right.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need that info to research your question.
The wheel, hub, brake caliper, rotor (disc brake), knuckle and axle "have" to be removed.
Then you'll need a special tool to install the metal bands on the boots.
