I'm about to start a job working second shift. I've been told that working shift work is not good for a relationship. I'm wanting to meet a nice woman, but I need this job a little more. How many women would date a guy who works shift work?

Put your priorities in order......You don't always get what you want. If the job your starting is only offering the second shift then work it, earn money, and maybe after awhile they will allow you to choose another schedule. I am a police officer so i have to work all 3 shifts. I have been in a relationship for appx. 2 yrs. We have are difficulties, b/c we sometimes never get to see each other, but a relationship is like a second job. You have to work on making it work.....Good luck to you!!

i don't think so but depends how long you're gonna do it for. If you're only gonna do it for a couple of months to get more moeny i guess it's ok and if it were my man working this way- i would work aournd him but if it;s long term- it's gonna affect it somehow. I know someone who's wife works second shift adn in one occasion- his wife was "going to work" at 10pm and was actually going out to party with some guys and didn't come back till the next day at about 6am since that was the time her shift ended. The husband never knew about it until on one occasion he asked her where she had taken pcitures at a certain party and why she went without him adn the pics had the dates on them and he caught her. Obviously it wasn't the first time she had done that and gotten away with it but- thye got over it and now they are divorced. These kind of things can happen so- beware!

I have a good husband and he works so difficult for our kin. Oh honey i understand how you experience completely See I loved him and that i could not image my existence with out him in it . we've continually been the couple that basically cant end kissing. we've had our severe and lows and we've made it although with love and information. Hes my superb chum and my guy. yet experience he began operating late evening shifts like 2 nd and three rd shift finally determining on 2d shift because it makes extra money. i trust like even at the same time as i'm with him hes not extremely with me , he's disconnected and zombie like. Hes continually down , drained and in soreness. in the course of the day he basically needs to sleep and elements of our courting are suffering. I bypass over him a lot so a lot , to the point the position i favor to tear up each and every time he sounds like or says he going to mattress. I basically favor to shake him and tell him to rouse! I basically bypass over him a lot

Well... you may find someone who also works the same hours. Generally, its not the hours themselves that cause problem, it's the difference in sleeping/waking times. Working opposite shifts of a gf/bf/husband/wife does tend to cause problems, but since you're just looking now, just keep looking and don't worry about it ahead of time.

It won't kill it. If they really like you they will accomodate you. You will still have days off and time to spend together. I date someone that is gone for a few days at a time and our relationship is good and strong. If you find the right girl it will work.

Most women are just happy that you work!!!! But you better make some serious boo-loving time on the weekends or else you will lose any girl. You know what they say: Out of sight, out of mind.

It doesn't matter what shift you work as long as you know how to lay the pipe, playa.
