Like Faraday one of the physicists on the mahatan project retorted " I see men building a bridge across the river to me there is no purpose as one day the commuters will scabble and down will come the bridge likewise we are building the a bomb for the purpose to make ourselves extinct. Yet the biggest bridge that we have is the life that we live by in time and its essence this has the span of thought which makes our birth meaningful now we only have to grasp the simplest of all the mind that evokes our conscience to seek the parrells of good and bad the bridge of love that tracends all boundries in seeking the freedom of kindness this is the final benefit.

mmmm, well the side that instigates the building, or does the building is doing so for a benefit to them. Question really is, do both sides benefit? Does 1 side think that the other side is building for gain over them? Do both sides agree the benefit? Will both sides trust each other that the bridge is for concillatory reasons and not secular gain?
Oh what a can of worms that one is, to the extent that it applys to so very many stuations in every forum of life.

When you build a bridge, you create something new, & everyone benefits. Burning your bridges is the opposite, when you feel that thing has run its course.

Sometimes, you can get across without going into a big body of water/ dirt.
Other times, you can make connections with people and resolve fights.
All just by building a bridge. Crazy, isn't it?

when i built bridges in Illinois i use to get two sixty foot I-beams to take home from the job as the by-pass bridge was temporary and had to be removed i was given the beams to dispose of, had to have a thirty six foot low boy and a contractor dump to span the beams on board to take home.
