If your life isn't filled up with romance, it leaves room for other things and other loves. Sitting near a stream dying of thirst because you want to drink champagne is just sad and silly.

Find an alternative love, something that can become an obsession and give your life the meaning that romance might.
Just when you're becoming immersed in your new obsession, something might just happen in the romance field. Take your mind off it and it might hit you over the head.
I think the feeling of satisfaction and enthusiasm you feel about your "obsession" puts you in a relaxed state of mind that leaves you open to possibilities and that is sensed to others.
Enthusiasm for something you love is attractive to others. People enjoy being around you because you're so alive.
Desperation is a negative quality that drives people away.
I hope I didn't disappoint you with my answer. This worked for me.

You never know that. And if for some reason you are sure, than mourn the lost so you can move on. I have recently come to the realization that I will not have my great love and have been really depresed. But today I finally realized that I am strong and my life is not over and I still have the opportunity to have a fun and fulfilling life. You can too.

I know how you feel - that's how I feel too. But I am still hoping and praying to G-d to send me my soulmate. I'll be honest with you, I cannot be happy about it. It's true you have to live the best way you can, but I would be lying, if I said I am happy.

Now here is the lyrics to Heart of Gold by Neil Young

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.

I always believed it would. I never stopped feeling it, even when I was without someone to share in it with me.

I think now that in truth "the great love" is already with everyone, should they become aware of it. Romance is just finding someone or some people (that is what we call the jackpot) to share it with. Good luck.

One can have a fruitful and satisfactory life even if 'the great love' does not come your way. And there are satisfactions within that life too - many.

There are cases when 'great love' is not reciprocated. And that is unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, quite common.

Stop looking for a fantasy. And look for someone who you think you can spend 50 years with without killing them. Love otherwise know as lust lasts any where from 5 minutes to about 3 years (7 year itch).

go through life at your own speed at your own desires, in time it will take u where u want to be. there are people who want life but do not understand it has to be on terms that u want, i have to move back to California from here in Illinois before i get my brains whacked out again, if you want to sail a big ship u have to go to where the water is deep.. choose what you want and chances are she's going to be there, the greater the need the more character your going to be dragged through for it

It's kinda tough to answer since you have to position yourself in the future and that is always difficult...to imagine the rest of my life without that love I am yearning for I guess would maybe be sad, and hearttearing.
When you think of all the good qualities you have and how much you are willing to give to a person of yourself and to see that it won't be acomplished can be kinda frustrating....so I guess that's what I would call it...SAD and FRUSTRATING.

Impossible-For love is made for this "Your Great Love". Now lift your head and open your eyes, you are sure not to miss him this time. God Bless. Love. Amen.
