they usually tug at their ears and when they suck a bottle pacifier or breastfeed it is uncomfortable so lack of appetite possibly they suck and then stop and keep trying, possibly diarreah and fever usually accompanies the earache

If your baby is screaming or crying alot and they're pulling at their ear it's safe to assume they have an infection.

The crying may be worse when you lay them down, I think there's more pressure on their eardrums then. And when I say crying, I mean shreiking.
