I would be comfortable giving it to either one, but Melo has the higher career field goal percentage (nobody realizes Iverson shoots about 41% regularly while carmelo is between 45-50%), has proven he can make big shots, and is big/athletic enough to get off good shots against a variety of defenders. Iverson still gets open, but he has to work real hard to get open and when he does he needs to get a lot more space than Anthony needs to get a shot off because of the height difference.

Whats up with people thinking Denver gonna be a good team now. [profane], Melo' and AI aint gonna play great together. You can't have the top 2 scorers on the same team cause they gonna average about 3/4 of the teams points and that doesn't make good team chemistry. [profane], I dont care, I'm a Pistons fan. Plus, AI might not shoot the ball so well for the first couple games cause of how high the damn city is. I mean when he shoots, the ball might go straight over the shot clock. My point is these 2 ain't gonna make it to the conference finals and certainly will never make it to the finals with Dallas, LA Lakers, Utah, Phoenix and San Antonio in their way.

In their respective careers, Allen Iverson has only recently hit one winning shot (last year I believe) despite scoring so much for his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers. As for Carmelo Anthony, statistics has shown that during the last 17 times in his career, he has been able to come through and hit the clutch shot 11 times.
I'd go for Carmelo on this one based on percentages.
Hope this helps.

Iverson drives, and kicks out to J.R. Smith since the D double teams Anthony and Iverson and single covers Camby. Neither one takes my last shot - Smith does. If Smith can't then Boykins on a jumper.

Carmelo led the NBA last year in game winning shots. You give him the ball and let nature take it's course.
