Every year it seems to get worse with remakes of movies that were great the way they were the first time. To rehashes of the same old story line.

Anyone who is a fan of horror movies (especially old school ones) should check out the new movie FEAST. It's great and sadly, not many people have seen it. Aside from that I reccomend the Descent but it's a little more well known.

EDIT: To the person who thinks the Shining and the Grudge movies are based on true stories, you're an IDIOT.

Within the Loop could be very clever (though very British). The Boat That Rocked is fun. Bruno is a homosexual Borat fairly but passes an hour or so. Nonetheless, for goodness sake, don't comply with the hype and watch District 9...It's simply the VERY worst film conceivable.

People are now getting into rude comedy and forgetting the scares and chills and drama from great horror movies. I can't think of any movie that's as good and pure as any old one.

well this isnt in the theatre anymore but "the hills have eyes" is great!! but of course dont be like those people who go into a haunted house just to say that everything is fake! i mean thats like going to disney land and wondering why mickey mouse is there! so get into the imaginative mood and i think youll really like it!

Hostel - lots of nudity, original, average
Silent Hill - great looking film, cliched ending, average
Event Horizon - older movie but I just saw it, average

I haven't seen any great ones lately either.
