What US state that's south of the Tropic of Cancer and on the same latitude as two countries devastated by the tsunami?

Look at a globe. Florida is the furthest south of all 'contiguous' states. It's still north of the T of C. So, it must be either Alaska or Hawaii. (Hint. It's NOT Alaska)

Only Hawaii of the 50 US States is located south of the Tropic of Cancer although several American territories, commonwealths and protectorates are also located in the tropics. The closest continental US city to the Tropic of Cancer is Key West, Florida at one-degree north.
