I agree. Become close with one person. Or at least close enough to hang out with them or sit with them at lunch without the person thinking your following her around or something. Then you will always be around all 5 of them, they will get used to you being around, and soon enough they'll be inviting you to hang out on the weekends. Just be yourself =]

Do you mean you want to become the 6th member of the group. I say you pick one out individually, kinda like hunting, pick the weakest one, get her by herself and talk to her about something she knows (like her clothes) keep it short and simple, next time you see her acknowledge her and soon enough you'll become friends.

Try asking them if they mind you hanging out with them .If they don''t, it's your chance to get close to them; if not,then you can try to talk to one or two of them and find what you've got in common, then it'll be easier the next time you talk to them. Eventually you''l become one of them.
That's what one of my friends did and within one week, she was one of the coolest group of 8 in my class!

start your own group. there is nothing more lame than being the fringe on a clique blanket.
