I have a ipod nano 2 gb first generation and I want to update to something better. I am deciding between those 2 players, which one is best? Does anyone have problems with the video ipod 30gb? I heard the vison m has better video playback, and better battery life plus features like fm tuner…

P.S. does anyone know where I can sell my nano for cash…I live close to the apple store anyone know if I can sell it there
and I really don’t want to sell it on ebay or craiglist or online actually

ZEN VISION M (30 Gb)
$199.99 Amazon.com
Plus side- It has 5 colors of the actual color (Black White Pink Blue and Green), It has 260,000 colors (actually a bit more) in the screen where the iPod only has 64,000, FM Tuner, Customizable background image, Customizable themes, Very good video playback, 2.5 inch Hi Def 240X320 Screen, Shortcut button, Almost any movie file is compatible where iPod's only has 2 compatible file types, Voice Recorder, Selectable Syncing Software (ex. iPod is limited to iTunes, where the Creative can use the software that comes with it or anything else including Windows Media Player), Cheapest 30 Gb Mp3 Player.

Downside- Thicker than the iPod, No games.

iPod (30 Gb)
$249.99 Amazon.com
Plus Side-Easier to use thanks to scroll wheel instead of vertical touch strip on the Zen, Games, Screen still looks nice, Thin Design.

Downside- No radio, No Voice Recorder, Less colors in screen than the Zen, More Expensive than Zen.

Its your choice, Although I would personally go with the Zen. My friend owns an iPod, and I own a Zen Vision M. Creative labs is great and there customer support is better, plus there products normally function better.

The iPod does not have very good battery, and lacks many features that the Creative Zen Vision: M has.
The Creative has features such as voice recorder and FM Tuner, but has no games. The upside is that the battery life is significantly better, and that the Creative can play .avi movie files.
The iPod has poor battery life, but pretty good video playback. You can buy additional devices for radio.
Personally, I would go with the Creative Zen Vision: M, but unless you need some games to distract you every once in a while and you dont care about battery life, iPod is the way to go.

I have a 30 gb iPod and I love it. It has good video playback, no skipping. The battery life is OK, but I have an old one from last year. They say the new ones have a longer battery life.
