Wii probably means "play" - & it's not Chinese, it's Japanese. It's never been called a "wu", but it's the way some people write "wii" in joined up writing that makes it look like it's spelt "wu"

well don't ask for a wii when you mean a wu!, if they say its a "we" then you need to put it in and then get outta the gents toilets ASAP, try the totally depleted argos or toys `r` us before the stocks run out again for the best gaming system for years......for next Christmas.
you have to try other stockists, not available 2nd hand in pubs/ clubs yet apart from possibly Japan.
