My daughter was originally breast fed and then we switched to bottles. The Playtex were ok, but they kept collapsing or not working correctly. We switched to Advent for the longest time until she started getting alot of gas on her belly. Advent is easier for travel and easier to clean, but I tried Dr. Brown because of the gas and would not change for the world. Out of all the bottles on the market, Advent I think is awesome, but for gas or upset bellies I would use Brown's anyday.
Yes, they are a little more time consuming to clean, but for me they are definitely worth it. You can get them at Meijers, Walmart, etc (almost any local box store). You can also buy the extra pieces separately if you worry about that. It comes w/the cleaning brush for it. It looks complicated at first, but once you do it once or twice- its nothing. If you do use them REMEMBER to put the MIDDLE pieces BEFORE you shake the bottle or you will end up wearing it :)

I LOVE the Dr. Brown's bottles! I decided to try one when my son arrived (it cost $14)! And I was very pleasantly surprised. You don't get those air bubbles in the bottle that are so common. It allows are to re-enter the bottle without allowing milk to escape.
My son also uses Avent bottles and he has to periodically stop sucking in order to get air back into the bottle. The nipple collapsed due to lack of air.
I believe Dr. Brown's bottles reduce the amount of air bubbles that are swallawoed, and therefore, the amount of discomfort your baby may have.

I don't like the dr browns bottles, too many peices. I used avent my son is breastfeed and the nipples work best for him. You have to go with what your child likes. Get 4oz samples if you could and try each one

I did use them and I didnt like them. They are very time consuming to clean. They have like 5 different pieces to them. I really like the avent bottles. They are cheaper and alot easier to clean.

Use them and love them
They really do help colicy babys
Great for reducing air. Less gas, less spit up, less toots.
I love them.
The only thing is you have to clean the little parts. Not really a big deal. And if you tip them some leak.

Breastfed babies are supposedly supposed to take them, so I tried them along with many others with my daughter but she wouldn't take it. My great-aunt used those for her grandson and swore up and down they worked wonders. Her grandson used to spit up constantly and after switching to dr. browns he quit.

i have not used them but was advised that if my baby had bad colic then they would help
as they cost a lot you may want to see whether you actually need them more than normal (avent) bottles for your baby
good luck

I haven't used them, but my best friend has and she bought them because they were supposed to have less air in them--her baby had acid reflux, and she really really likes them, her baby spits up less often. I am certain she would recommend them.
