They are actually filming now. I think Sci-Fi is producing them, but could be wrong on that part. There is a new Phantasm Trilogy planned to change the story up a bit and move it along to some new horrors. We can only hope. I do know, the Tall Man will be involved.

Eh I only watched the first Phantasm movie and thought it was pretty lame.

Doubtful. Today's cinema-going audience wouldn't have a clue what was going on. They'd have to remake the first one to get the series going again. As much as I like the first one, the second is a bit lame.

These films are top banana :-)
The last one (Oblivion) got a bit weird though, but was still excellent.
