I retired from the military and was NOT welcomed back with open arms. 23 years of training are not being used. I went back to college and got a degree and still couldn't get a job. What's wrong with THIS picture? Got fed up and opened my own business with my wife. We now have three "employees." They are actually subcontrctors. One being a high school girl who's now an employer and getting the education of a life time.
Our current education system is not geared to teach independence. Instead, they fast track you either towards a higher education or, straight into the work force where you will work for someone else.
When Jefferson wrote the Declarartion of Independence, he spoke of "Freedom." That which he referred to was not what we understand it to be today. He spoke of financial freedom. Those with money are free to choose from a greater selection of options than those who are poor and enslaved to their lenders. Think about it.
So, it is the Entrepenuer who made this country what it is today. And without us, for whom would the rest of you work?

Entrepreneurship is one of the most important factors of a successful economy. The 'Entrepreneur', or new business venturer, is a role that needs to be filled in order to drive innovation forward in a society, and improve not only the local but (if successful) national economy.
The importance of their existence is somewhat cemented by the significance that business plays in society. However much some are against the concept of profit-seeking organisations they are what creates wealth, which in turn leads to a solid healthcare system, national security, and benefits and public services. Without the entrepreneur economies would become stale and stationary.
Good examples highlighting the importance of the risk takers of society are the development of medical drugs for treatment that have saved lives all over the world. Things such as the innovation driving transport improvements has made the world a more accessible place, meaning people can learn about cultures and climates and animals.
Entrepreneurs take are experts in leading, managing, organising people, and bearing risk, they serve a great importance and are arguably of great value to the world.
