deciding which was the back of the tree and which was the front wouldn't really be a problem cos a tree is round so they could just go either side of it or not go behind a tree at all, they could just go back to back and both respect each others privacy

Did anyone ever tell you fields don't have trees...meadows do, forest do,the woods do but fields are for growing crops so your question is a little off don't you think.
