I was watching a doggy programme a few weeks ago and it said on there that the first year of a dog's life was equivalent to the first 15 human years. The second year was equivalent to 10 years and every subsequent year was 3 human years.

That makes mine....8 years old.

every year after the first one (for a dog) is equivalent to 6 human years.

Big dog is about 7 years for every human year.

Cats are about 4 years for every human year.

it depends on the size of the animals. They both ae faster of course. Peo[le estimate the dogs to be 7yrs to every one of humans, however,large dogs age faster than a pomeranian.
