they come from tears that gotrhoguth your nose and the mucus that some membrane in the nose makes to keep the bacteria off and keep the inside warm
they are stickky because they have to kill bacteria and they clumb becasue they dry and your nose can't clean them

I wouldnt know, I dont pick my nose. If I need to, I use a tissue rolled into a point so I can get it out. TMI by the way...lol
