What does zionist mean?
I keep reading questions about how the holocaust was made up and they keep saying the zionist state force the holocaust down our throats. I'm guessing it something to do with the Jews. Why are people so ignorant to say such things when millions of people died horribly during the holocaust and not just Jews but gypsies etc. They even tortured and killed children. I don't get how much crap people come out with!

who keeps on giving thumbs down! grrr quit it! lol. I am not on anyones side just I can not stand people denying things that, without a shadow of a doubt, DID happen. I know plenty of things happen in this world, awful things. I am asking a question about the holocaust, one genocide is not worse than another.

A Zionist believes in a homeland for Jews, ie Israel. You'll get some freaks who go on about "Zio-Nazis" and ZOG (Zionist Occupation Government) in America, and believe that all the ills in the world are the fault of "Zionists", that all the world's news and media are controlled by "Zionists", whose loyalty is to Israel. They blame "Zionists" for everything, but in reality they are just plain old fashioned Jew haters.

Zionism is the movement to give the Jewish people a homeland. Shortly after WW2, the United Nations declared that Israel is now the homeland of the Jewish people, and they were allowed to establish their own government there.
Many neo-Nazis (attempting to revive the Nazi movement in teh current day) insist that the Holocaust was made up just to gain support for the Zionist movement. This is clearly absurd, in the face of the overwhelming evidence that the Holocaust DID happen. Some of these claims are also backed up by certain Palestinian and Muslim groups (such as Hamas) who flatly refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist. Which is likewise absurd, because Israel's right to exist was declared by international agreement long before some of these haters were even born!
Indeed, it is total crap.

The Zionists are those who support the state of Israel. They are not just Jews, but, many, many Christians, and others, too.
The Jews do mention the number of Jews who died during the Holocaust. They also mention the others who died. It is just, as we were 1/2 of those who died, it makes a more dramatic and striking effect to talk about the Jews. Other groups have not raised their voices to support those of their people who died. Why not?
Stalin killed even more people. Rwanda was a travesty. And, now Durfar, and other places. All governments need to do more to stop it.
There are others we could note--but, these are the ones in our lifetime.

Zionism is an international political movement that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel. Formally organized in the late 19th century, the movement was successful in establishing the State of Israel in 1948, as the world's first and only modern Jewish State. It continues primarily as support for Israel and its continuing status as a homeland for the Jewish people.
Christian Zionism is a belief among some Christians that the return of the Jews to the Holy Land, and the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, is in accordance with Biblical prophecy. This belief is primarily, though not exclusively, associated with Christian Dispensationalism, mainly in English-speaking countries outside Europe.
Christian Zionism, as a specifically theological belief, does not necessarily entail sympathy for the Jews as a nation or for Judaism as a religion. Since the biblical text is filled with references to God's chosen people, whom some believe to be Israel, it is common for Christian Zionists to emphasize the Jewish roots of Christianity, and even to promote Jewish practices and Hebrew terminology as part of their own practice; however, Christian Zionists commonly believe that to fulfill prophecy, a significant number of Jews will accept Jesus as their Messiah, and that in the last days, such Messianic Jews will practice a thoroughly Hebraic form of Christianity.
Many Christian Zionists believe that the people of Israel remain part of the chosen people of God, along with the ingrafted (based on Romans 11:17-24, Holy Bible) Gentile Christians. This has the added effect of turning Christian Zionists into supporters of Jewish Zionism.

Zionist < Nazi.
Without being disrespectful to those who suffered, I believe that the holocaust did happen and the Zionists use it to further their aims, which is wrong.
