Anywhere from 2 to 7 days is considered normal.
My period also shifts weeks. Not very suddenly, but every month it changes by a few days. As far as I know, it's normal.
If you're just starting your period it could take your body some time to get things regular (it can take a couple years). I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Perfectly normal. Some people's cycles are shorter like 25 days, some are longer at 32 days, some people bleed for 4 days, some for 8. 28 day cycles and 5 day periods are just the average.

It's OK if it's normal for you. Some people just have a tendency to be irregular.
Other questions though are how old are you, are you on the pill, etc.
If you are In your late 30s or so sometimes becoming irregular can be a sign of pre-menopause.
If you are on the pill, you probably need to have your prescription adjusted.
If you are not on the pill, being on hormones could 'fix' it but since there's no harm there's no reason to mess with it.
And as always if you are worried talk to your doctor. But it can wait til your yearly checkup.

It is normal to go from 4-9 days. I had a period that lasted 45 days once and was hospilotized from loss of blood. It was crazy. Go on the pill, it'll regulate your cycle.
You also could have ovarian cysts.

yes, but it's not really normal for it to be heavy bleeding all 7 days.
The birth control pill helps regulate your period and makes your period last only 3-5 days.
I took it when I was young, before I was even sexually active.

Yeah it's fine. only if you feel dizzy or think you have signs of anemia like nasuea or dizziness, fatigue then you might want to see your doctor to make sure you're not losing too much blood, but my period's seven days and i'm just fine.
