If you have info about living in the dorm costs too, that would help.
I called them and no one calls you back!

The best estimation you can get online is from the UCOP Budget Office, which calculates the average fees for all UC campuses for statistical analysis: http://budget.ucop.edu/rbudget/200203/sf.pdf

Libraries on campus keep archives of general catalogs over the years and the information you are looking for would be contained in the 1983-1984 or 1984-1985 general catalog (fees, tuition, and housing cost). You may try asking the reference librarian to look it up for you (it is related to campus history) at: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/Help/Ask.html

You're not going to get a call back for this kind of question. That's ancient history. Students who currently go there have a horrible time getting help on info that the staff is supposed to provide. This question isn't something the staff there is supposed to answer.

Your best bet is to hope someone went there back in 1984. Tuition (technically, fees b/c UCs don't charge tuition) should be the same no matter what your major was.

From what I remember, tuition and fees were only about $675 per semester, roughly.
