The proper name is "Staind". They have 6 albums out. Most recently they released there hits album entitled "The Singles: 1996-2006".

Somehow acquired Break the Cycle a few years ago, (joys of living in a shared house). OK album although probably wouldn't buy it unless it's really your thing. Features a song called Outside which is quite good although not as good as the live version with Fred Durst which I don't think is on the album.

I have every album that Staind has released and they are great!!! Break The Cycle was their breakthrough album, with IT'S BEEN AWHILE. They have since released a few other albums, 14 Shades Of Grey and Chapter V. Their first album was Dysfunction. Hope this helps.

It's not really my type of music.
However if it were, I'd definitely take it over the loads of other nonsensical crap they have out there these days. If you're into mainstream rock, then yes, they would be a band worth listening to. It's not too heavy most of the time, the lyrics make sense, and there seems to be at least a bit of creativity in the process.

if you like rock that's somewhat angry and depressing, then yeah, i think you'd like stain'd. some of their songs really get to the heart. strangely painful, but beautiful at the same time.
i saw one of their concerts on TV where the lead singer performed this song called "outside" for the first time, and the crowd was bawling. people were really crying!
try sampling some of their music before you buy the album though, in case it's not your cup of tea.

Yeah they're really good. Haven't heard them for ages. I got their album "Break The Cycle".

for me it's a bit of both. some of their songs I absolutely adore, and others, while they're good, they're nothing special. It's all about personal taste really, but they're worth a listen.
