I read this somewhere a few years ago that an archeologist in egypt had found a mummy in one of the tombs he excavated. He's said to have taken that mummy & after a few days he died. Then the mummy was moved to a museum in England & a photographer who clicked the mummy dropped dead.A few more wierd incidents followed where people who touched the mummy developed some incurable rotting deseases etc. Then a museum in the US agreed to take the mummy but asked for absolute secrecy in transferring the mummy. The mummy was being transferred in the titanc...!

A few months ago i was watching this programme on National Geographic on icebergs. They were talkin on how much time it takes for an iceberg to travel from one point to another. And then they gave the example of probably 'the most famous iceberg' in history. It is said to have travelled a few hundred kilometers in a few years and 'by a strange quirk of fate' it travelled a few thousand miles in a span of few months to 'meet' the Titanic.

Hiya guys
ok Dennis i checked on ur link, it dismisses the story as a figment of imagination and Diggal it is nothing to do with the famous curse of king tut (i just read ur link).
I am no believer of such things myself and i did really not give too much F@%K all these years. I read this story bout 10 yrs back. But the Nat Geo thing got me thinkin.

Most of the 'deaths' due to exposure to mummies have now been linked to spores that grew in the enclosed spaces of these tombs.
The lungs basically filled with the spores as they 'ate' into the soft lung tissue and the afflicted person asphyxiated while seemingly healthy. In some of the tombs they have found honey that was actually edible 3000 years later in sealed jars.
As far as the Titanic goes, I had not heard about that iceberg, but the captain and the owners representative were largely at fault as was the feeling that the 'unsinkable ship' had finally been built.
Human arrogance is usually the surest way for thousand of innocents to die unwittingly trusting someone in charge.

There has been many different variations of this story, but none of it was true. although most people would like it to be true because it creates yet another interesting twist to the sinking of the Titanic, we must be true historians and accept the real history, not what we want it to be just because it's more entertaining.

No, I don't believe in curse's. Im a Cub's fan and think that they haven't won a world series in almost a hundred years due to a series of terrible trades, decisions, and unfortunate circumstances.

yeah it was howard carter, when he exumed king tut. IT was not a myth. It is true and documented. It was called king tuts curse. he didn't die a few day's after. He got bit by a scarab. and died some weeks after. Check this out. http://www.catchpenny.org/tut.html
The rest of you are dummies.
