Its a family affair for me. which I guess entails love so its a God affair anyways.

I go out and beat up an Atheist! That's what they get for yelling about my CHRISTMAS decorations!
Merry Christmas!
For those who complain about Jesus actual birth date, I ask you this....
If you were born on Feb. 29th...would it be wrong to celebrate it on the 28th, or the 1st of March??? Or do you wait every 4 years? Complaining about the actual date is just a moot point on your behalf. We celebrate Thanksgiving on the 3rd Thursday, yet we don't know the actual date. So what is the big deal? Can't you go a day without bashing a Christian? Is your life so hollow and empty that you must seek joy by bringing misery to others?

I celebrate the birth of my Lord, Jesus Christ. I also celebrate His love for us and the miracle of my salvation. Even if He wasn't born on the 25th of December, it's as good a time as any to celebrate Him.

My folks were an athiest and an agnostic, but we had a pretty big extended family and all got together for a party and gift exchange. There was some religion involved but not in my immediate family.
Now it's me, mom, my brothers and their wives and kids - we get together on Christmas Eve so the brothers can go to the inlaws for Christmas. There's no religion at all in it, it's a big feast and presents. I alwasy enjoy it because I make all my gifts and my family loves my art so for me it's about togetherness and sharing with my family. Christmas day I'm usually home alone happily working on a project and eating yummy leftovers.

I am a heathen. Asatru, to be exact. So I don't celebrate anything on the 25th. I go by the astrological calendar and celebrate the real 'reason for the season' - the solstice - on it's proper day. This would be on/around the 21st. When calendar changes happened in days of old, certain dates were not corrected. And that's why all these people are still celebrating the solstice on the 25th.

Honestly I know what we are "supposed" to be celebrating on 12-25/Christmas but I basically use it a a reason to catch up with family and give gifts. We don't get together much so it just happens like that.
