My child is in first grade. He has two different teachers every day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. For example the morning teacher teaches math and religion the afternoon teacher teaches reading and writing. I do not like the inconsistency of two teachers at such an early grade. This would be fine in the later grades. Any opinions?

If the teachers are teaching the subjects they are strongest in, your child will reap the benefits of their enthusiasm and subject knowledge. Your child is never too young to learn that people (including teachers) have individual ways of doing things.

I absolutely agree with you!!! My daughter is now in the second grade. Her first grade teachers split the day of the week; one taught the first three days and the other teacher 'taught' Thursdays and Fridays.
A child in 1st grade should be evaluated and taught by one teacher. They are too young! I volunteered to help in the classroom and did not like this process, not one bit!!! Each teacher provided different information on how my daughter was doing academically. Major Confusion!! Keep the split classes for grades 7 and up!!!

I had two different teachers starting in kindergarten and by 4th grade I had three teachers - one for religion, one for math/science and one for English/social studies. I never had a problem with this system.

This is good because the kid is being exposed to people at an early age. In fact this will be beneficial because he will learn earlier. it would be more difficult to expose him when he becomes older.
