Free and good quality. Ur jsut like me..I asked this question and found out about cliprex and cliprex.com. Its gota free DVD decoder and software that is free and works at great quality.

A very useful one is called "VLC", or "Video LAN" player, and it's a free download, and free to use. Read about it and download it at the below link. Good luck.
