You know what - skip the washing hands because that probably contaminates you rather than sanitizes you. Use those hand sanitizers, I carry a small bottle with me in my bag and use it whenever I use the restroom.

I would never use bar soap in a public restroom.This is unsanitary and unsightly to top it off.Bar soap is the cheapest and a dirty way out.I can tell you that the business owner would not even touch the soap in the restroom.When the soap gets really small then they will use a stick to flip it into a bag being careful not to touch it.Its bad enough to share the soap with your household let alone a public restroom.Next time you are at the restroom note the hairs matted in the bar soap

~~~have to agree with Rooney on this one....always a good idea to carry your own bottle of hand sanitizer. I dont think a bar of soap is self cleaning......kinda gross that a public place would have bar soap instead of a dispencer ya know.....
They claim that a public sink carries way more germs than a public toilet. I never use the public sink. Carry with you a small bottle of Hand Santizer, you don't need water or have to dry your hands. I use it after I get out of the public washroom as the handle is full of germs.
because of the difference in ph (acid/base balence) soap presents an impossible envirnment for pathagen to servive. it's highly unlikely for living germs to tranfer from a bar of soap to someone in the act of washing their hands, and then even more unlikely to servive a renewed dose of soap and rinsing. unless you are attempting to achieve surgical asepsis, good old soap and water is fine. now if we can just teach kids to keep their fingers out of their mouths....
I totally agree. I mean, people all over have used that soap. I think that it is nasty. There could be aids or something on it. So be careful!
