This will enable my husband to access the internet with his laptop (I think). I am a little stuck with it. I have run the CD and did what it told me to do, up to the point where it asks for details of my provider. Where do I get this from. Can anyone help and advise me the simplest way to do this installation. I am not very PC knowledgeable

You need Broadband & your ISP{Internet Service Provider} will give you all the relevant information. Usually in the form of a e-mail, but they may also send a letter. It will include information like:-
Dial up Username - user@tiscali.co.uk
Dial up Password ****
Webmail - webmail.tiscali.co.uk
Outgoing mail server - smtp.tiscali.co.uk
Incoming mail server - pop.tiscali.co.uk
IMAP server - imap.tiscali.co.uk
etc, etc...

"I am not very PC knowledgeable" - based on this, my answer will start from scratch; you need to sign up for an internet service. I'm assuming that you use dial up to access the internet at the moment so a good place to start is the company that you use right now for dial up.

They'll give the information you need to set up your DSL (Broadband) connection.

If you're already on wired broadband, then your internet provider is still your first port of call.

Good Luck

You will need to sign up with a provider who can give you access to the Internet via a broadband service. It's like when you had to sign up for a dial up service, you have to sign up to a company such as BT or AOL. Once signed up they will give you a user name and password that should give you access.

Have you arranged an internet service with someone like BT Sheena?.
If not then you need to do that first they will tell you the settings..
If you have then tell us who it is and you can find out the settings.

You get that information from whomever is providing your DSL service. You did sign up for a DSL line, right?
